America's Next Top Model is cancelled after 22 seasons.

It was announced last night that after 12 years and 22 seasons, America's Next Top Model will be cancelled.

Peacefully ended by Tyra Banks.

The news was tweeted by Banks in an attempt to get the announcement out before the network announced it was cancelled. Or so the twitter speculation says.

Either way, no reality TV show should run for 12 years. Watching the latest bunch of 'models' performing increasingly messed up tasks (glass runway several feet in the air?), bad make over (Courtney's horrible grey mess?) and trying to push products is embarrassing. The oversell on the Tyra beauty products is actually sickening. Banks is not a make up artist and its embarrassing watching it.

That is before you consider the awful phone selling in every episode. The contestants have little more to say then it takes a good selfie.

So yeah, about time. Take it off the air.
